What started as a single server in a corner of the basement has grown into something else entirely.
KNZLABS is a fully self-hosted, enterprise-grade home lab infrastructure built and operated by Shaun Kinsey out of Brandywine, MD. It runs on the same principles that drive enterprise IT — redundancy, automation, monitoring, and documentation — but without the bureaucracy, the budget meetings, or the change control board.
Every server here has a name. Every network decision has a reason. Every runbook in this wiki was written the hard way — by breaking something, fixing it, and making sure it never breaks the same way twice.
This isn't a hobby. It's a proving ground.

"The best infrastructure is the kind you don't have to think about — until you do. Then you better have a runbook."
